You video is helping me with my first model in this class, it is the Orion as luck would have it. Question, you keep referring to “black CA”… is this just black colored CA or is there more to it? What the hell happened to Estes Rockets??? When I was a kid 50 years ago those rockets went WAY higher than they do now. Even with the lesser powered engines. Most of the rockets I had went so high you could barely see them even after the parachute would open. Well another case of everything being better back then but at the time we didn't know it.

Funny how random videos come across your feed. Fred Slingsby was my great uncle and I have paintings he did of his designs, handed down. A special man and even though I dont go gliding myself, I know he and his designs are deeply respected by those who do. Thanks for this upload. Beautiful, beautiful glider.

I was just gifted a Hobie Hawk. It is in very good condition, except for the fuselage being broken near the tail, and improperly repaired with 5 min epoxy. your videos of your own restoration will be valuable. especially about the decalage. I'm considering options, including building my own fuselage from scratch, as the stock one is sooo heavy. Loved your white with transparent red scheme too, might do something similar. What brand of transparent covering is the most user friendly? anyway, nice flight, and with this knowledge, I'm sure mine will. be performing really well too soon. cheers!
